There is a wonderful book (that actually goes beyond your needs but is
fascinating) called the History of Contraception (a Canadian ob. I think).
I can't give you the details but it's in the library at Family Planning
Queensland.
Also, Shiela Kitzinger published a book in 1978 called Women as Mothers,
looking at different cultures. There is a chapter called Getting and Not
Getting Pregnant, that talks about different methods of contraception that
women have/are using.
