Dear Megan,

Cathy and myself are not currently caseload midwives. We offer private
antenatal care, birthing care support and post natal care. We afford
hospital support and antenatal educational discussions privately. It
is not an organised caseload as such just private clients. Usually
wanting to birth their child at home.

We also work at the local forward thinking maternity unit at the local
private hospital run by Lynne Staff. Which although not offering ideal
one on one midwifery care through the whole of the pregnancy and
birthing process is changing aspects of intrapartum care dramatically
in a ll beit a hospital setting.

my experiences of caseloads are from my experiences in the uk, when the
team i wads in disolved as needed by our clients into the intimacy of
providing caseload care.

Sorry for any confusion. I must say nothing can compare to travelling
through the pregnancy, birth and familial life with a client as one
does as an independant midwife. We are so rewarded and so blessed.

ISN'T being a midwife WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOve nigel
