Dear Heather
Just read your sad story.  The education/selection and lack of role modelling has had an enormous toll on the type of nursing care available now.  It really is an eye opener to be around a hospital ward to feel, see, smell and touch.  I hope that I am in the position to be able to care for most of my elderly relatives at home when the time comes.  My experiences with family homebirth and death has been in part teaching my children how to deal with the events of life in their own homes.  Just as my husband Glen has helped them side by side to build their own homes, with that experience they can do most anything.

Do hope your dear dad is gradually improving and thanks for the care and creativeness of the young doctor.   She/he needs to read your e-mail to receive the feed the worthy feedback.
