Dear all, and another thing!
We also have had anecdotal evidence that the trend towards shorter stay is
affecting breastfeeding, either in terms of reduced rate or increased
difficulties, that is having an impact on the Family and Child Health
nurses and the women. It seems we are not saving money in this area,
merely cost-shifting from one service to the other, or to the community
(which is worse). I would like anything any of you have to say on the
matter in your area, as I would like to conduct a study here in Tas, and
would like some contextual stuff in there as well. Especially, if you have
hard figures of befores and afters this would be great. I will share what
