Hi Kathy,
I am doing a Graduate Certificate in Community child and adolescent health
at the University of Queensland. It is 4 subjects done externally over 1 or
2 years. Course coordinator is Dr. Jim Nixon, email
[EMAIL PROTECTED]; phone (07) 3365 5338 or fax (07) 3365 5455.
I found quite a few other unis around Australia who offered external child
health courses but most of the others needed you to go to residential school
which wasn't an option for me. The Handbook of post grad nursing courses
that the Royal College of Nursing puts out lists a lot of them.
Good luck,
Madeline Hall

Subject: RE: post grad study
Hi All,
This is my first post to ozmid although I have been lurking for a few weeks.
My question is about post grad courses for maternal and child health. I
live in Canberra and the Uni. here does not run a MCH nursing course so I
will need to do one by distance ed. So far I have found information about
a course offered by Deakin University in Vic. Does anyone know of any other
courses and could you provide me with contact details ie phone number,
e-mail address, name etc. The Royal Australian College of Nursing has links
from their website to a number of universities around Australia but as I
said so far Deakin is the only one I have found that runs a distance ed
course.
Thanks in advance
Kathy Waller
