Hi all,   I just awoke from a pre night duty zzzzzz. And my mind was churning -   defamation;  no insurance and I was planning on independent practice;  women's status; institutions;  medical power and.............well, then I thought of the suffragettes, some of whom suffered greatly in the struggle to achieve the vote.    And what came to mind was strike and if midwives did that, what would happen??? If we are fighting for women's rights here - it would be a good course of action. Could be better than beating our heads against a brick wall. Just a thought..................Liz
