>Sally,

Your past professional experiences will surely enhance the hospital
labour ward culture.... don't forget mothering is a proud profession
too!
You'll surely get lots of questions about your homebirth
experiences. Enthrall your colleagues by discussing the professional
satisfaction of being with women 'all the way' and giving babies a
drug-free start to life.
Make plans to erode the hospital culture and inspire the midwives to
take on their own case load and work within the full dimensions of
their title. Who knows, perhaps we'll hear that your hospital is
about to offer a homebirth service to the surrounding community next
year?
Best of luck in your new venture
Jan Robinson
