Birthing Pools

Hi,   I was looking at inflatable pools in a local pool shop yesterday when I was approached by the shop assistant. I mentioned that I was looking at pools that would be suitable for women to use in labour. The woman was horrified!  She said that she wouldn't put goldfish in any of the pools let alone labouring women, because of the toxins released from the pools into the water! Has anyone else heard of this?   Thanks, Andrea.
