Hello Allison and list,
The ANF (in Victoria only) has been providing PI to all its members until
now. Its insurers refused to insure any midwives, they renegotiated and they
will have insurance for employees (midwives employed by hosptials included)
only from 1st Sept. This puts Vic Independent Midwives in the same situation
as the rest of Aust. Except that there are NO extentions available to us as
there are to previous Guild members. We are hanging out for ASIM to
negotiate something asap. Jenny
