Dear Bronwyn and list - I too wrote to my local paper - no response - I even included a cute photo of my daughter, thinking they might like the photo opportunity. The one thing that I felt that I should have done, which I didn't, is to follow up with a phone call - you know the old saying "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" - maybe we should all become squeaky !!!!!
