Dear All
I or rather several clients have found homeopathic
Mg Calc effective for irritable uterus, painful after birth contractions as
well as cramps.

I agree with Anne with regard to the salt
intake, etc. Homoeopathic salt might be a good idea here.
Magnesium will help also - but in
'potency'. As a homoeopath I will
often prescribe Magnesium in homoeopathic potency and in a nutritive dose for
relieving these cramps. Blackmores Celloids MagPhos practitioner range
is the best for a nutritive dose. So see the local homoeopath and
cramps will disappear!

Dear Andrea,
Increase her salt intake, I know this sounds silly but I bet if you did
some ELFT's you would find her sodium low. Also increase zinc and
potassium.
Another sure fire remedy is to get her to buy some tonic water - the
one with quinine in it - Schwepps has tonic water with quinine, it is also
called 'Indian Tonic Water' usually in brackets on the bottle.
It has to be this type of tonic water as it is the quinine that helps
the cramps, it is a muscle relaxant. Reassure her that the amount of
quinine in the tonic water is miniscule and she would have to drink lots and
lots for the quinine to become a problem, as you probably know quinine is a
drug used in Malaria.
The dose is one average glass at night. It may take a couple of
nights for its full effect. Some women find they do not have to take a
glass every night but alternatively. She may however, find that she
needs to take a glass a night initially then cut back to get the right
effect.

Anne Clarke
