Yes... Maternity corridors often echo at Christmas-time. Ask my sister, she works in a maternity hospital and she has told me how 'eerie' it can be leading up to Xmas. In a weird way I understand the rational behind this (for the staff involved - who doesn�t want to be home at Xmas?), in another way it seems so very wrong... Abusive, some how.
