Hi everyone and happy 2002, I have a query which surfaced after an unassisted birth which took 84 hours from first contraction to last. 4 cms to fully dilated was 29 hours. Baby born in good condition after 2 hour 2nd stage. No problems at all.
Whilst passing on this info I came across a lady who had been told that her daughter's schizophrenia which ultimately caused her death at 21 years of age, was PROBABLY due to her 3 day labour (which also eventuated in a normal birth). Does anyone have any information or research which can support (or deny) the claim?
