Dear Liz,
"Breastfeeding management in Australia" says
"Group B Haemolytic Streptococcus
Mother/baby isolation is not necessary. Breastfeeding is
not contraindicated. There have been 3 reports of Group B haemolytic Strep
infections associated with possible mother-to-infant transmission via
breastmilk. Bilateral mastitis should be considered a suspicious
sign. Culturing of the milk is recommended if the infant becomes
infected. Antibiotics, especially the penicillin family are effective
treatment"
Sorry, it's not much, but I hope it helps.
