Why don't we all realize (all of humanity, not just birth professionals)
that how people react to us is usually a reflection of (or response to) how
we treat them? Or a response to how they were treated during a previous
experience - in which case they need extra nurturing, not misunderstanding
attitudes...

We all need to treat each other a bit more gently, and respectfully, and
then we will create less defensive practises.
