Dear List If you are living in Vic, please phone in, and tell this inquiry that women are not satisfied with maternity services that do not meet their needs, and result in too many caesareans and other operative births. If you can't phone or live in another State, please go to the website (see below) Tell them that *Women need access to COMMUNITY BASED MIDWIFERY, with primary care from a known midwife, and birth in the hospital or home, attended by the known midwife.* . This has been proposed to the Minister for Health, by Maternity Coalition, with support from ANF. Tell the inquiry that this must be included as a strategic imperative in the Discussion Paper.
