Hi guys,
finally moved into the new house and found the
computer! Woo Hoo!!
Re the breast feeding ad....haven't seen it yet as
we haven't found the areal! but read about it in the paper. It said that
there was going to be ad with a guy eating a hamburger on the toilet with his
drink perched on the toilet roll!! with the caption of how inappropriate it is
to ask a mum to feed her bub in the toilet (god I hate that!!!!)
Good on the ABA for bringing this to light.
It is one of those things that women are not aware of when they have their
babies on how society will treat them. In Naomi Wolfs book misconceptions
she discusses the necessity for the foam mat in the change bags for all the
times you have to change bub on the floor on the park bench bc there is no
facilities available for changing bubs.
I wish I could remember where I was just recently
that was a child focused place but had no facilities for changing and feeding
etc! I am sure I will find where I packed my brain one day!
