What a brilliant letter Megan - my 5 kids all
breastfed 4 to 6 years each. In spite of my own mouth full of fillings, they (at
almost 28, 25, 21 18 and 10) have no fillings except for the youngest - who
broke a tooth as he tripped and fell against a rubbish bin at a shopping
centre! All of their(bottlefed) cousins have had orthodontic
work, so I am sure, because there are five of them , their jaw development
(if not their caries status) must be influenced by breastfeeding, rather than
heredity.
