In my book Parenting By Heart I have a birth story
of twins born normally -the parents are both Gps -the father was doing
obstetrics at the time - the mum was devastated at the standard "risk management
for twins" info -epidural/ induction etc (their first bub had been born at a
birth centre) Eventually they discovered Bruce Sutherland at Hawthorn Birth
Centre, who supported them and they had their girls at Mitcham
Private birth centre -with Bruce and Lesleys own midwife (chosen from Bruces
practice), and no drugs/intervention. There was an anaesthetist
-OUTSIDE the door and a paediatrician on hand. I can give you Lesleys
contact details if you would like -her twins are now ten, but Bruce is
still practising.
