Dear Lynne and Lyn Kelson,

My name is Lyn Cottee and I think I may have received an e-mail in error that was supposed to go between the two of you. I have just subscribed to the service.

I hope you get your correspondence!

Dear Lynne,

It would make great reading, but I need peer reviewed research to include in my lit review. Thanks for the response anyway. Do you record the reasons the women give when they contact you re home birth? My research has involved interviewing women about their choice to birth at home and it has been fascinating hearing their answers.

Thanks

Lyn.

Dear Lyn, I don't have any "formal" references, however I do ask clients who contract me to be their midwife why they chose a homebirth. Would this be of any use?

Regards, Lynne

Dear List

I am seeking references for any research concerning the choices women make about where they have their babies. I am researching why women choose to birth at home, and have only found a couple of references pertaining to choice and place of birth in Australia. If anyone has any other references I would be grateful.

Thanks.

Lyn.
