dear megan, i can't agree more with your comments.. it's all about priorites.. it is certainly a sad world when a contact sport incident is more newsworthy than violence against women (which is what this comes down to).. until more international pressure is put upon these countries to no longer tolerate these "punishments" , women will continue to be considered second class citizens in these regions.
