great to me. still haven't gone for my postnatal check after
number 3. He's now 18. Number 4 managed to get herself going, and I
didn't go for that check either. One hint, chat about contraception before 6
weeks.

Is there a formal '6 week postnatal check
routine' for mum's? I usually do a birth debreif and any follow-up tests
eg. PAP, GTT etc. Ask about the pelvic floor, check abdominally for
involution of the uterus.
I seem to remember from my training being taught
to do vaginal exams to assess ? involuted uterus ? pelvic floor.
If I have done any suturing I ask if I can
check that mainly for my own quality assurance. Offer to talk about
contraception.
Generally we just admire their wonderful baby's
growth.
