Hi, All,
I heard that segment; it was
interesting the way it was handled presenting various attitudes, but overall
came out positively. One man said he was going to eat some, but his partner (the
mother) was not!
Placenta soup was a post-partum must
with a very religious group I spent some time with in Israel over 20 years ago.
It's a pity I didn't eat my two; I was absolutely craving almost-raw meat while
surrounded by vegetarians with the first birth! The second was better, lots of
meat.

Subject: RE: [ozmidwifery] Placenta and post natal
depression Hi
Veronica
A
couple of months ago Triple J did a segment on eating the placenta and
interviewed a couple of women who told of the many benefits - including (if
memory serves me correctly) reducing the risk of PND. The Triple J
website may have the interview details. It was on the last Tuesday in
August.
Good luck!
