Dear Rhonda, I know of a wonderful woman who had what she describes as the best experience of her life, when she birthed her first baby at home earlier this year. She has a long history of colitis, and had been treated by conventional medical methods until she considered pregnancy. Upon being told that her condition warranted her being classified as high risk, and all the accompanying hype, she got pro active and sought out Chinese herbal treatments under the direct care of a Chinese doctor in Fitzroy. She said her colitis has never been so well controlled and her life less affected by the condition since making this change. Her pregnancy and birth were wonderfully normal, and she has the most lovely little baby now. I hope your friend can gain courage knowing that other women have trod the path she is now taking. Regards Lyn. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rhonda To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 6:11 PM Subject: [ozmidwifery] Any help would be great.   Well, this is a strange one - I mentioned a little while ago about my friend who seemed to think she had to have an abortion due to the steroids and drugs she was on for colitis.  So doing what her doctor recommended she went and had the abortion.     And for those of you who believe in miracles - the day before she had it I had a strange "visit" from who we worked out to be her grandfather - I got some very strong feelings that he did not want her to have the abortion and was very comforting telling her not to worry.  Other things that I felt lead us to believe who it was - I got heavy in the chest and had strong chest pains/pressure, she tells me he died of lung cancer.  Unfortunately, by the time i had relayed what had happened - she had already gone through with it.  (NB:  her grandfather had died when she was 12 yrs old.)   Well the abortion didn't work.  Something or someone protected this baby. Any guess as to who!
