Sorry - another thing I forgot to mention - in some private hospitals the C/S rate is very high - up around the 50% mark. The private system would no doubt collapse if C/S weren't done. Furthermore, doctors would not go to those hospitals if they knew that they couldn't do an em C/S if "necessary" This would put an enormous strain on the public system. I also feel that the insurance company would be negligent to cover women for childbirth / obstetric services, but not C/S. Melissa. |
