Thank God the OB who attended my 2nd labour (1st VBAC) did not suffer from failure to wait. I was stuck at 4-5cm for 8 hours but he patiently let me continue because he knew how important it was for me to deliver this baby myself and because there was no medical indication to do anything - and in due course after getting through some "issues" it all happened of its own accord.
If I had gone with either of the first two OBs I interviewed I would have been on the table for exceeding their mandatory 10hr VBAC timelimit.
