If you want to investigate a "training" that is not within a University, you would be welcome to investigate/review our Graduate Diploma in Childbirth Education. We have clearly defined competencies and performance criteria for all aspects of this course. Let me know.....

try the ACMI webite at <http://www.acmi.org.au...under>www.acmi.org.au...under the link of profssional documents you will find the ACMI Competency Standards for Midwives (2002). These standards are the minimum 'benchmarks' for midwifery practice.
