Are all midwives, carers of mothers
aware that there is federally funded 'in home care' - mothers
with an illnesss ie postnatal depression may be eligible - I have just heard of
a mother of twins - exhausted who threatened to camp out on her MPs steps - the
MP was accusing her of 'making it up' that she could get emergency help - a
nanny - funded by the govt.
It seems a lot of health professionals are also
unaware - - this mum now has a nanny to help her with her twin babies - fully
funded!
. To be eligible for the Government Childcare Rebate, Louise Dunham from International Nanny services (One of the first Victorian agencies to be accredited to provide this care) explains, families must meet one or more of the following criteria: q
Families
who do not have access to a child care service or whose childcare needs cannot
be met by an existing service, including
After School Care.
q
Where a
parent/s or the child has a disability /illness.
q
Families
with more than two children under school age.
q
Parents
who work shift work or non-standard hours.
q
Breast-feeding mothers working from home.!!!!!!!!!!! (arent ALL mothers
working mothers?)
q
Parent
looking for work or studying or employed.
q Parent must be an Australian citizen.Louise Dunham can be contacted on 1300 854 624Pinky |
