Dear list With a sigh of relief I heard some good news today that led me to give a heartfelt cheer for independent midwifery, the clients of independent midwives and especially for Maggie Lecky-Thompson who has always been a champion of independent midwifery.
Today the court decreed that Maggie had NO CASE TO ANSWER to the allegations that she was continuing to hold herself out to be a midwife. I hope Maggie has her merriest Christmas ever as she soaks up the abundant love and support that her family provides. Best wishes from her friends and colleagues of ASIM and HBA.
