I'm pretty sure that it's the format of the list, not to do w/ the
individuals email program (e.g. Outlook Express), as I have used a few
different programs since I've been on the list.  To reply only to the
individual, you have to cut & paste the person's email address- which is
more tedious than just pressing reply.

I agree too, about the volume of messages & not all of them really being
directed to the public- I'll probably be signing off when I start back
up @ uni.  Maybe the list administrators would change it back to the way
it was before (replying to the individual), if we appealled to them?
