A woman who has just contacted me re CBE has a deep vein thrombosis in her leg.
My reading of a basic midwifery text leads me to believe that DVT would normally mean a very managed birth. I'd really appreciate any information from the list re how this is managed in labour. She has been told that they won't let her 'go too long'. What is she likely to encounter? ( public hospital). What is necessary in your views? Any alternative suggestions?
