as I don't have a huge involvement in /understanding of the VBAC movement.
Birthlove is a very popular site and it might be good to get some

VBAC is declining; cesareans are rising says the US National Center for
Health Statistics:
"The rate of cesarean delivery rose for the fifth consecutive year, to 24.4%
for 2001. The 2001 rate is the highest since these date became available
from birth certificates (1989). The primary cesarean rate rose 5% and the
rate of vaginal births after previous cesarean delive ry (VBAC) fell
steeply; by 20 percent. Increases in the total cesarean rate were observed
for each State and reporting area."
