I don't know about its tocicity but I do know it isn't a herbal remedy as some of my colleagues in the states thought, it is a solution of some metallic salt which has both bacteriacidal and fungicidal properties. Yes it was used for years for oral thrush and other mouth ulcers. My mother also told me that when she did her training in Cairns in the 1930's they used to use it to treat various genital sores and irritations: they painted it inside the womnas' vagina and vula if necessary. marilyn
