Subject: C-Aware Mailing List.

Hi all,
This is the last email I will send (personally) to the Birthrites contacts list which I had previously set up to get information out to you all. This is because Birthrites has set up a NEW mailing list titled C-Aware, which stands for Caesarean Awareness.

The C-Aware list will facilitate discussion of issues related to caesarean and VBAC birth. Through this list I will continue to post articles of interest and birth stories that have been submitted to Birthrites. But the list will allow subscribers to contribute their own individual thoughts and share their intrinsic knowledge about birthing by caesarean, and after experiencing a caesarean.

The C-Aware list is for women who face similar challenges and issues, and who share one common feature despite their diversity - our experiences of c/section birth. It is also for the friends and the families of these women their sisters, their partners, their children. And last, but certainly not least, the C-Aware list is for the professional caregivers of these women their doulas, their midwives, their doctors and their obstetricians. For it is hoped that the C-Aware list will open up new channels of understanding of the emotional and physical impact caesarean birth can have upon all present at the birth of each precious child.

So, to subscribe to this list, go to:
http://www.edsite.com.au/mailman/listinfo/c-aware_edsite.com.au

And please do pass on information about this list to other lists that you are a part of (is someone on Ozmidwifery? Im not at the moment, but Id love them to know of the C-Aware list) and to other contacts that you may think interested. I look forward to chatting with you all in a more interactive forum. Take care,
Birthing Beautifully,
Jackie Mawson.

Too many Gods;
            so many creeds,
            Too many paths
             that wind and
                 wind,
            When just the art
             of being kind
             Is all the sad
              world needs...
