Hi Justine, thanks for the reply as it is always appreciated to hear positive support after dealing with politicians.   A little background about me. My wife and I have 1 baby (Ziggy) who is 9mths old and was born at home with our midwife "Deirdre". Our original midwife was Claire Brassard who after initial consultations was sort after by the Health System for being unregistered. (Claire"now registered" still continues to meet and call us and help us whenever...Its a great relationship.   When the health system took Claire off to court we joined around 200 parents(homebirth) in support for her.   I then became active in a Birth Action Group with Bruce Teakle (whom you may know). Also I joined AIMS (Association For the Improvement of Maternity Services) and by the Next AGM I nominated as their Secretary. We have a lot to do in AIMS to get it to where it should be..!!   I spend a lot of time in research as I am relatively new to this birth "caper".   By day I am a pool tiler... as long as it isn't raining.   I feel education is a focus that I'm am being drawn to as I have many friends and associates that have no idea about midwives or choices.   Would like to hear what in-roads you have made and am willing to offer any help.     All the best,   Darren Sunn [EMAIL PROTECTED] 0412 067 916 (075) 5470 690 243 Lavelle Drv.
