May be we should all consider quiting too. It seems to me the only way the Australian gov. listens to anything is through threat to the current smoothly working system. Life may change a lot if all midwives decided to walk out on a set date if indemnity insurrance was not provided for midwives or more autonomous working conditions given! Although it may work I have my doubts a consenses would be reached on such an issue by the majority of midwives. We first have to learn to support each other and be a united front.
