They probably went the way of the W.A. ones... formulated and distributed in the early 1990's and ignored by hospital authoities ever since. We achieved practicing rights at one eastern suburb hospital but the obstetricians refused to accept our clients into the hospital and we never ever were able to benefit from it. After 3 yrs I didn't apply again. the situation remains unchanged with only Woodside hospital allowing midwives to practice there, which we had done, well before the guidelines were formulated and still do. Talk about a restriction on trade practices. The guidelines need review again, but it hardly seems worht the time and effort. MM
