Thanks Deb, I actually have never seen this email.  It is a really practical list of things that could be done by midwives in any hospital anywhere, including the Ventouse training.  When I was in Papua New Guinea in the 70's, the indiginous midwives were being trained in Ventouse extraction.  We are a long way behind our under developed countries aren't we?
