SAFE GENETIC SCREENING TESTS (Health Minutes: 30/07/2003)
Pregnant women face some choices if they want to have their baby screened
for genetic abnormalities, but miscarriage is a possible side effect. A
study shows that the safest approaches are amniocentesis at 16 weeks and
chorionic villous sampling via the abdomen.
