Hi Liz. Good to hear that you are still "out there". I have had
two births with a woman who had a #coccyx as a result of a forceps delivery with
her 1st baby. She is very "android". The second birth was supposed to
be a gentle waterbirth, but as the head was emerging, she shot up into a
standing positon and I nearly dropped the baby who came out like a
missile. At the same time there was a loud "POP". After the birth I
advised osteopathic therapy with an experienced Osteopath and she came good in
about 6 weeks. The second birth, less than 2 yrs later, she started
treatment before the baby was born. After the birth she had both Bowen
therapy and osteopathic therapy in rotation. She recovered very well this
time. Being off the bed and in a "free position seems to be best as it
gives flexibility to that region. cheers, MM
