Hi Cheryl
I'm with Barb here. The secret to expressing is not just allowing yourself unrushed time to work with your breast but also in the technology used to assist. Absolutely nothing wrong with hand expressing but there are many much better pumps on the market that the Kanesan pump which acts too much like a vacuum cleaner for my liking. Medela have a very good range, Avent's range is not too bad either explore some pump alternatives via ABA. All of Barb's other thoughts are also valid- sometimes a little time away will help both you and your babe
Best of luck
