Hi Everyone

I’m working at the ACT Hep C Council and we’ve been approached fairly regularly by women in the community who have hep C who are wanting a resource on hep C and pregnancy.  As a midwife I have been able to talk them through a lot of issues, but, due to the increasing volume of requests, we have decided to write our own resource.  It will be approximately 12 A5 pages long and cover basic pregnancy, birth and postnatal information that is relevant to these women.

I was wondering if anyone out there has any type of resource they already use (no point re-inventing the wheel if it’s already been done), or any specific information they use for these women in their own practice?  Should we go ahead with this project, it will include a page of pregnancy/postnatal service options relevant to the ACT region, however, we will be forwarding it on to all state/territory Hep C Councils to adopt (they would need to reprint themselves and change the contacts to be suitable to their own regions), so there is no reason why you couldn’t access it for your own practice.

Also, we are looking for sponsorship for the production of the resource.  If anyone out there knows the contact details companies/organisations who are willing to sponsor such projects, I’d love their contact details (advertising in the resource could be included).

Thanks for your help!

Bec
