The NHMRC is currently reviewing documents/guideline released in 1995/96 and public consultation was advertised in The Australian. The list and instructions for replying by 28th November 2003 can be found at: http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/publications/synopses/review2.htm   Two guidelines relate to pregnancy and newborn care and have been important in guiding care: Clinical practice guidelines: Care around preterm birth - 1996 - Edition 2 Options for effective care in childbirth � 1995 It is important that a good response is received from clinicians as well as the public.
