Hi Lynne

The N.S.W. Government were originally going to have the women under our care birth at shellharbour hospital with a midwifery model of care with no obstetric cover in the hospital ( we had hoped to renovate the unit as a birthing centre) Now Illawarra Health ie ill health now have decided to have the women go to wollongong hospital for six months trial period to have their babies as there is obstetric cover and it is safer.According to a survey which was conducted the majority of women wanted this. at the moment, sadly Shellharbour hospital no longer births babies after all the years we have fought to keep the unit open we now only look after postnatal women"DeniseB >From: "Lynne Staff" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
