Oh Jo,   You are such a great woman. Don’t loose hope. All you can do is be there for the women that you meet. Like a pebble in the pool the way you treat each woman will teach her that she should be treated with respect. She will tell her friends of her experience and they will come expecting to be treated with respect.. then slowly we change the system.   Have you thought about applying at the birth centre??   Have you thought about establishing a birth centre in Joodalup. What about trying to get a group together to ‘birth’ a birth centre. It is in line with the ‘Cohen Report’. Lotteries funded the building of the family birthing centre at KEMH. Are you involved in NMAP??   Need a coffee in Fremantle on day to hang out with a radical midwife??
