Pinky and Marilyn,   Thankyou for your reply's re B12, all info and scenarios help to make a balanced decision. I have had one B12 shot just previous to my last pregnancy nearly 4 years ago with no allergic reaction so all should be okay. I have just been talking to a midwife who has had some experience with a client in the past who's baby began fitting after birth and was developmenatlly delayed, apparantly the cause of this was the mothers, hence the babies low B12. Fitting ceased once B12 levels were up. Not sure how low B12 was, however after hearing this I think I will have at least the first shot and then check on my levels prior to the second. I just hope the baby has taken all he/she needs!  It is also good to know that the breastfed baby of the mother who had the shots only benefited from the vitamin.   Thank you Rochelle.
