Jodie,  I can see the dilemma for Deb.  I have no practical information re Drs etc, but there is no guarantee that  C/S or bladder surgery will fix it either. Bladder surgery was useless after 2 yrs.  I found that homoeopathy & physio was more beneficial to me... a different cause, but same symptoms.  MM

Hi,

Thanks again ... my story for you to list.

Had 9 pound, 55 cm long baby boy on 17th January, 2003.  I was induced after
being 10 days over, my Ob believes I didn't go into labour because the baby
was posteria. Had an epidural, and catheter, and baby was delivered by vacuum
 5 hours after labour commenced.

That night after delivery I didn't have any sensation to pass urine and when
I stood up, I gushed urine.  The next morning when by Ob visited he advised
the mid wife to put a catheter in, I leaked large amounts around the catheter
(very distressed by this stage).  After an Xray and a cystoscopy, which
 showed no structural damage, I was discharged 7 days later with the
 catheter.  I had the catheter for a further week, the whole time I continued
 to leak around the catheter.  It was removed, and I still leaked urine
 continuously.  I started physio with a pelvic floor specialist, who trained
 me on pelvic floor exercises and had me started on electrical stimulation.

15 months on, I have improved alot, but I still suffer from stress and urge
incontinence.  I am looking for answers to the following:

How can I improve my symptoms without surgery;
I want to have another baby, and I want a vaginal delivery, all my doctors
recommend C-Section - I don't know what to do;

Thanks, any help would be great.  I've done a lot research on the surgery
options offered, and they all sound like they have horrific side affects, but
 I don't want to live with the incontinence for the rest of my  life, and I
 want to have more children.  I'm finding it really difficult dealing with my
 GP, Ob and Urologist, they are all so hell bent on C-Sections and bladder
 surgery, and don't seem to concerned with the affects of these!  But as I am
 not a medical person, I'm finding it difficult to know what way to go ...
 anyway, any help would be great.

Deb
