Tell me about it!! - 2 mums in my latest massage course which started
yesterday are living proof - one is bottle feeding - very sad about the
outcome - bub 6 weeks prem/caesar and bottle fed in nursery (she had planned
a home birth)- didnt suck at breast, second mum doing a sterling job of
expressing and bottle feeding placenta praevia/ caesar/ surgery afterwards
for bleeding infection in wound - amazingly this mum was born at home/ a
waterbirth in 74 (New Zealand) and herself breastfed for 3 years so is
determined to get baby ontobreast. She is facing further surgery for
gallstones in 4 weeks and surgeon has tolde her 95% of women lose their milk
after surgery so she might as well not waste het time!!! ARRGGH! Her paed
told her in front of hubby that 10 days of BReast milk was enough -after
that it was a bonus -this has been really "helpful" to hubby who now doesnt
understand why she is torturing herself - bub was being fed S26 in hosp so
she has virtually relactated.

It is a gorgeous supportive group and the massage will help with
bonding -this is their aim - both are co-sleeping. Neither knew each other
before yeserday.
What a lot of sadness for women and babies.
Pinky
