Hi, I’m new to the ozmid list. I am a midwife, currently working casually at Gosford Hospital and planning to IBLC exam in July. I have 3 kids and love living on the Central Coast of NSW. It’s been great lurking and reading all your informative posts.   I thought that I’d answer this one….’parent directed feeding’ is terminology used by Gary Ezzo in his book ‘Babywise’. It is a parenting program out of California that is quite simply, dangerous. It is starting to become quite big here and pushed through many large church groups. What is this? It apparrently is strict 4 hourly feeds. She is quite horrified but obviously needs to tackle this sensitively.
