Dear Midwives Monash University will soon be advertising in Australia and New Zealand for a Lecturer in Midwifery and Nursing at Gippsland Campus. The successful applicant will teach into the successful Graduate Diploma of Midwifery and the undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing at Gippsland Campus. Ideally the applicant will have a higher degree or equivalent in midwifery or nursing, will have experience at tertiary teaching, and will be clinically current in midwifery. The Graduate Diploma accepts employed students from a range of hospitals across Victoria including rural, regional and city hospitals and a mix of private and public, with a wide range of models of midwifery care. The course is very well established, and has a dynamic teaching team of Clincial Midwives as well as midwife academics across the two campuses of Gippsland and Peninsula. At present, I am the Course Co-ordinator of Grad Dip Mid, so the appointee will work in partnership with me, but also with a friendly and dedicated team in the BNurse. Course Co-ordinator for BNurse is Lorraine Walker. Head of School is AssPro Tony Barnett.
Churchill is situated in the rural hills of Gippsland, about 100 minutes from Melbourne so a lifestyle that mixes the benefits of country living and city excitement is affordable. The fast-train to Melbourne makes this even easier. Housing is very affordable in an area that is currently enjoying an economic resurgence. There are wonderful sporting, education and liesure activities in the area, including a world-class gallery. The Campus enjoys a lovely aspect, great access, free parking, full amenities including a gym, and a wonderful relationship with the communities of Gippsland. Staff have available to them the staff club, fair salary packaging, and a flexible and family friendly policy for working life. For more information, please give me a call, or contact Meredith Milligin on (03) 5122 6936 for an application package. Cheers, Trish -- This mailing list is sponsored by ACE Graphics.
